Key Qualifications:

• Current PA teaching certification/licensure required for assigned caseload
• Bachelors degree necessary for emergency teaching permit
• Prior experience in schools, including teaching students with special needs
• Demonstrated mastery of relevant subject matter and teaching methods
• Proficient in developing and delivering lessons aligned with state/district standards
• Effective classroom and behavioral management skills
• Experience working in urban school environments
• Comfortable with building culture and local community
• Ability to complete all required PA clearances
• Reliable transportation required
• Available to work onsite, MondayFriday, 35 hours/week between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM; schedule flexibility is not available

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons based on assessment and student needs
• Adapt instruction for students in emotional and autistic support programs
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom climate
• Assess, record, and report on student progress
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
