Take your expertise in science education to the next level as a high school Chemistry educator. This contract position, situated near Manchester, NH, offers the chance to foster curiosity and learning in a supportive academic environment. Youll be responsible for teaching general education Chemistry classes, engaging students with hands-on experiments, and collaborating closely with fellow faculty members.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Education or a Science-related field (Masters preferred)
- Current teaching certification with Chemistry endorsement (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience teaching general education Chemistry at the high school level
- Strong classroom management skills and an innovative approach to lesson planning
- Passion for inspiring students and building a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Deliver engaging lectures, labs, and demonstrations to foster student understanding
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects
- Provide individualized support to help all learners succeed
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science departments offerings
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences
