Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in elementary education
- Experience teaching English Language Arts (ELA) in a general education setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver creative, standards-based ELA instruction tailored to the needs of 4th and 5th graders
- Create a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, resilience, and active participation
- Assess student progress using a variety of tools and adapt instruction to support diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student growth and classroom activities
