Make an immediate impact in K-5 classrooms as an experienced ELL/ESOL educator. This contract opportunity supports a diverse student population spanning a wide array of academic English proficiency. Youll collaborate directly with classroom teachers, guide students in small groups, and contribute to program management within a supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri K-12 ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or ELL (English Language Learners) certification
• Prior experience working with students acquiring English, preferably in a K-5 setting
• Familiarity with WIDA ACCESS testing and differentiation to support students at varying proficiency levels (WIDA 1-6)
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and provide instructional coaching
• Comfort working with students who may also qualify for special education services

Role Highlights:

• Engage with just over 30 ELL students spanning grades K-5, delivering targeted small-group instruction
• Facilitate dedicated grade-level groups four days per week, focusing on language development and academic support
• Utilize Wednesdays for program management responsibilities, including data analysis, planning, and coaching/consultation for classroom teachers
• Monitor student progress and contribute to ensuring students progress toward exiting with a composite score of 4.7 or above on the WIDA ACCESS assessment
• Adapt instruction and intervention strategies to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners
