Inspire the next generation of scientists as a high school Chemistry teacher in a vibrant educational setting near Kingston, NH. This contract position offers the opportunity to engage motivated students in general education Chemistry classes for 35 hours per week. You'll deliver exciting, standards-based instruction and cultivate a classroom environment where curiosity and experimentation are encouraged.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Education or a related science field
- Valid teaching certification in Science for high school level
- Previous experience teaching Chemistry or related science subject preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for fostering scientific inquiry and enthusiasm among students
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess student understanding and adapt instruction to meet diverse needs
- Develop laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance hands-on learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and fellow staff members
