Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting K-12 students as both a General Education Teacher and ESL Teacher. This position offers you the unique opportunity to empower learners from diverse backgrounds in an engaging educational setting. With a start date as soon as possible and a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, following the school calendar), youll make a real difference as you guide students through their academic journey until the end of the 20262027 school year.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification required (Temporary Authority to Teach certificates not accepted)
• Previous teaching experience in General Education and/or ESL preferred
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate a range of learning needs and language abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to successfully complete required district credentialing, including a drug screening and fingerprints

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive instruction to elementary, middle, or high school students (exact age group and school assignments to be determined)
• Support English Language Learners by implementing best practices for ESL instruction
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet both curriculum standards and individual student needs
• Assess and track student progress, offering interventions and additional support as needed
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment where all students can thrive
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
