Key Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Louisiana Spanish/Foreign Language Educator Certificate authorizing instruction at the high school level
• Previous experience teaching Spanish, preferably in a general education classroom
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for fostering language acquisition and cross-cultural understanding

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Spanish instruction to high school students in accordance with curriculum guidelines
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and activities that promote language proficiency and cultural awareness
• Provide differentiated instruction to support diverse learners in the classroom
• Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, and student progress
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning with other educators
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment

This assignment is full-time (35 hours per week), beginning ASAP and running through May 2027. You will be working onsite, as the certified Spanish teacher for a single high school caseload.
