Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Louisiana Department of Education Certificate (not accepting Temporary Authority to Teach)
- Strong foundation in high school science curriculum and teaching methodology
- Ability to start by early August 2026 and commit through late May 2027
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Flexibility to work across multiple campuses as assigned
- Must successfully complete drug screening and fingerprinting as per district requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction to high school students
- Develop lesson plans, adapt materials, and differentiate instruction to reach learners of all abilities
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor, assess, and report on student performance and progress
- Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school functions
- Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and administration to foster student achievement
