Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an active Louisiana Department of Education Certificate (not accepting Temporary Authority to Teach)
  • Strong foundation in high school science curriculum and teaching methodology
  • Ability to start by early August 2026 and commit through late May 2027
  • Experience working with high school students preferred
  • Flexibility to work across multiple campuses as assigned
  • Must successfully complete drug screening and fingerprinting as per district requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction to high school students
  • Develop lesson plans, adapt materials, and differentiate instruction to reach learners of all abilities
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student performance and progress
  • Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school functions
  • Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and administration to foster student achievement
