Job Description

Youll be part of a dedicated team shaping the educational journey of elementary-age students. Your daily schedule mirrors the school calendar, working 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The caseload and specific school assignments will be determined prior to your placement, with opportunities across multiple campuses.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification required (Temporary Authority to Teach not accepted)
  • Experience as a General Education Teacher in an elementary setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to complete district fingerprinting and drug screening in a timely manner
  • Ready for immediate placementcurrent certification is a must
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, standards-based lessons for a diverse group of elementary students
  • Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes as required
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student growth
  • Adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines for instruction and credentialing
  • Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
