Make an impact supporting multilingual learners in an elementary setting just outside Kansas City, MO! This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate educator with expertise in English language instruction and a collaborative spirit. You'll work closely with a culturally diverse group of students in grades K-5, helping them develop the language skills and confidence they need to thrive.

What Youll Contribute:

• Valid Missouri K-12 ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) or ELL (English Language Learners) certification required
• Previous experience teaching ESL/ELL populations, ideally at the elementary level
• Strong understanding of the WIDA ACCESS assessment and related instructional strategies
• Ability to adapt instruction for varying English proficiency levels (ranging 1-6 on the WIDA scale)
• Comfort supporting students who may also have special education services
• Excellent communication and organization skills, with an ability to coach and collaborate with classroom teachers

Your Daily Impact:

• Deliver targeted, small group ELL instruction for K-5 students (30+ students total; one group per grade level, four days a week)
• Utilize Wednesdays for program management, curriculum planning, and coaching support for classroom teachers
• Assess students English proficiency, monitor progress, and document growth using Missouris WIDA standards
• Collaborate with staff to provide optimal language support, ensuring all students have equitable access to instruction
