Empower young learners to find their voice in a vibrant school environment as an ESL Teacher working with elementary students. This contract-based opportunity is conveniently located near Irwin, PA, and centers on guiding students for whom English is a second language, helping them gain confidence and academic success.

Youll lead your caseload of elementary learners from 8:20am to 3:50pm, fostering a supportive classroom where each childs language development flourishes. In this role, youll collaborate with fellow educators and leverage engaging instructional strategies to meet diverse language needs, making a lasting difference in students educational journeys. Compensation for this rewarding position is offered at $38-$40 per hour.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with ESL or ESL Endorsement preferred
• Experience as either a General Education or ESL Teacher, especially for elementary age groups
• Strong understanding of language acquisition and instructional approaches for English Language Learners
• Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt lesson plans for differing proficiency levels

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective ESL lesson plans for elementary-age students
• Assess language abilities and monitor progress, tailoring instruction to student needs
• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Partner with general education teachers to modify curriculum and assessments as appropriate
• Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and outcomes
