School Psychologist Near Hilbert, WI
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday Friday (School Hours)
Position Overview
Sunbelt is looking for a dedicated School Psychologist to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students across the Hilbert, WI. In this role, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, conducting evaluations, developing interventions, and fostering a positive school culture for K-12 students.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and triennial re-evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services.
IEP Participation: Serve as a core member of the IEP team, providing data-driven recommendations for student placement and services.
Consultation: Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement behavioral and academic intervention strategies (MTSS/PBIS).
Direct Support: Provide short-term individual or group counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Wisconsin DPI regulations and IDEA federal mandates.
Requirements & Qualifications
Licensure: Must hold (or be eligible for) a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) School Psychologist License (Tier I, II, or III).
Education: Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in School Psychology from an NASP-approved program.
Exam: Successful completion of the Praxis II School Psychologist examination (minimum score of 165).
Experience: Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred, but strong interns are encouraged to apply.
Skills: Proficiency in evaluation tools (WISC-V, Woodcock-Johnson, etc.) and a deep understanding of Wisconsins special education laws.
