Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position as a high school Math Teacher, where you'll play a vital role in shaping students understanding and appreciation of mathematics. You'll be teaching general education math classes with a schedule aligned to the school calendarMonday through Friday, 7 hours each day plus a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications:

  • Possess an active Louisiana DOE teaching certification (TAT not accepted)
  • Strong background in delivering general education math instruction at the high school level
  • Prepared to complete required drug screening and fingerprinting prior to start date
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire adolescents in a classroom setting
  • Ready to meet school and agency credentialing standards promptly

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging math lessons for high school students, tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to create a positive and dynamic learning environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies as needed to ensure student success
