Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract position as a high school Math Teacher, where you'll play a vital role in shaping students understanding and appreciation of mathematics. This full-time opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment. You'll be teaching general education math classes with a schedule aligned to the school calendarMonday through Friday, 7 hours each day plus a 30-minute lunch break.
Qualifications:
- Possess an active Louisiana DOE teaching certification (TAT not accepted)
- Strong background in delivering general education math instruction at the high school level
- Prepared to complete required drug screening and fingerprinting prior to start date
- Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire adolescents in a classroom setting
- Ready to meet school and agency credentialing standards promptly
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging math lessons for high school students, tailored to diverse learning needs
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to create a positive and dynamic learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies as needed to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance in compliance with district policies
