Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (required)
• Certification must be completed prior to application (no temporary or in-process certificates will be accepted)
• Strong background in general education math curriculum and instructional techniques
• Comfortable working with high school students and adapting lessons to a diverse range of learners
• Able to complete all district and agency credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting, in a timely manner

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive mathematics instruction to high school students
• Prepare and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assess student progress using a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain an organized and encouraging learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to enhance student success
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Fulfill contract obligations of 35 hours per week, following the school calendar, Monday through Friday
