Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Department of Education (LA DOE) License required
• Experience teaching English at the high school level is strongly preferred
• Solid classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to implement differentiated instruction and work with varied learning styles
• Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate English lessons for high school students
• Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Collaborate with school staff, including social workers, to support student well-being
• Maintain organized records and participate in parent conferences or meetings as needed
