Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Physics (required)
- Successful completion of Praxis II test #5266
- Valid South Carolina Educator Teaching Certification in Secondary Physics or Science with an AP endorsement (must be fully issued, not pending)
- Professional Certification Endorsement (30-hour training) strongly preferred; highly qualified candidates without this endorsement may still be considered
- Background in teaching Physics, preferably at the AP or advanced level
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Passion for working with high-performing students and maintaining a rigorous academic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach AP Physics and General Education Physics to high school students
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state and AP standards
- Contribute to the academic excellence and culture of a top-tier high school
- Assess student progress, provide clear feedback, and support individual learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development as required
- Complete all grading, curriculum planning, and parent communication with professionalism
