Position Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Data-Driven Practice: Utilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Classroom Management: Establish and maintain high expectations for student behavior and a safe, respectful classroom culture.

Differentiation: Implement MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) strategies to provide targeted interventions for students.

Collaboration: Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), faculty meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

Communication: Maintain open and proactive communication with families regarding student academic and behavioral progress.

Required Qualifications
Certification: Valid South Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity) in the relevant subject area or grade level.

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Clearances: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and TB screening.

Skills: Proficiency in classroom technology (e.g., Google Workspace for Education, Interactive Whiteboards) and a strong understanding of SC College- and Career-Ready Standards.

Preferred Attributes
Experience working in rural or Title I school settings.

Strong commitment to restorative justice practices and social-emotional learning (SEL).

Ability to coach or lead extracurricular clubs and activities.
