Inspire a love of learning and literacy as an EL (English Language) Teacher, supporting students in a dynamic, onsite classroom environment. Youll play a key role in guiding learners through the ELA (English Language Arts) curriculum and fostering their academic growth. This contract opportunity spans the entire academic year, offering stability and the chance to make a meaningful difference.
What youll bring:
- Active Louisiana Teaching License/Certification with appropriate endorsements for General Education and ELA
- Demonstrated experience as a General Education or ELA teacher, preferably in a school-based setting
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for nurturing student development and adapting lessons for diverse learning needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering creative, standards-aligned ELA instruction to students in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing individualized support as needed
- Collaborating with colleagues and school staff to develop curriculum and meet school objectives
- Engaging families and caregivers in student learning and classroom activities
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices
This contract opportunity covers the upcoming school year, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week onsite. Youll have the chance to foster strong relationships with students and colleagues, and build valuable experience in a supportive school community.
