Job Description

Support a high school student in their academic journey by providing targeted math instruction during the school day. Located near Salem, NH, this contract opportunity is perfect for a certified educator passionate about making a difference with focused tutoring. You will work one-on-one with a high school-aged student whose math skills are currently at a 3rd-grade level, with the goal of helping her progress toward passing Algebra, a key graduation requirement.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification required
• Experience with general education and Math instruction
• Strong background in differentiating math content for diverse learners
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Previous experience working with students who need significant support in foundational math skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person tutoring 3-5 hours per week during the school day
• Assess the students math skills and adapt lessons to meet her unique needs
• Develop and implement instructional strategies to build foundational concepts and support algebra readiness
• Track progress and communicate developments to relevant school staff
• Create a supportive, encouraging learning environment

Additional Details:

• Contract position starting ASAP and extending through June 2027
• Direct, one-on-one instruction with a single high school-aged student
