This full-time teaching position is designed for an experienced General Education Teacher specializing in Elementary Education, specifically focused on 5th-grade ELA classes. Located in Dekalb, IL, this contract role serves a K-12 school setting and offers a rewarding opportunity to impact student learning during the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) to two 5th-grade classes following curriculum standards.
- Plan, prepare, and implement lessons that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Elementary Education.
- Experience teaching general education, with a focus on ELA, preferred.
