This contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference with a manageable class sizecurrently 19 students, not to exceed 28within a supportive learning environment. The workweek is structured at 32.5 hours, from 8:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid certification as an Elementary or General Education Teacher
• Experience teaching in an elementary classroom setting, or recent student teaching in a similar environment
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom culture
• Strong communication skills when working with students, colleagues, and families
• Solid classroom management strategies tailored for young learners
• Flexibility and collaborative spirit to adapt to day-to-day needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide standards-based instruction for 2nd grade students, utilizing engaging curriculum and age-appropriate activities
• Monitor student progress and differentiate lessons to meet varying academic needs
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student development
• Create a welcoming, safe classroom environment that supports students academic and personal growth
