Bring your passion for teaching and linguistics to empower middle school students as an English Language Learner (ELL) / English as a Second Language (ESL) educator. This contract opportunity, with an immediate start and extending through early June 2026, offers you the chance to work alongside a welcoming educational team near the Cuyahoga Falls area. Support 6th to 8th grade students as they develop English fluency and academic confidence, drawing on your bilingual skills in Spanish or French.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification and English Language Learner endorsement required
- Bilingual fluent in Spanish or French and English
- Demonstrated experience as a General Education or ESL Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English language instruction to 15-20 multilingual students in grades 6-8
- Create individualized learning plans based on students language proficiency and academic needs
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies to ensure language mastery
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support positive educational outcomes
- Maintain clear records and provide feedback to students, families, and administration
