Job Description

Make a difference helping elementary students thrive! We're seeking an experienced ESL teacher for a contract assignment, supporting young learners eager to build their language skills. In this rewarding, part-time role, you'll work with a small caseload at the elementary level, providing targeted instruction for three students throughout the school week.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current ESL teaching certification required
  • Previous experience as a general education or ESL teacher, especially in elementary school settings
  • Understanding of second language acquisition and differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication skills with both students and staff
  • Ability to foster a positive, supportive environment for young learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging ESL instruction to a 5th grade student (30 minutes daily, Monday through Friday)
  • Provide individualized ESL support for 1st and 2nd grade students (30 minutes each, three days per week)
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that accommodate each students unique needs
  • Track student progress and collaborate with faculty and families to support learning goals
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions and student growth
  • Promote inclusive, welcoming classroom environments
