Job Description

This full-time, contract position is based near Cicero, IL, serving the Bensenville area. Youll play a pivotal role in fostering English language proficiency and academic excellence within a dual-language setting.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid state teaching license with a Middle School ELA endorsement required
  • ESL endorsement mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience working with middle school learners
  • Background in delivering instruction within bilingual or dual-language environments
  • Effective communication skills and cultural competency
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered classroom

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards while integrating language acquisition strategies
  • Adapt instruction for diverse learner needs, supporting both English learners and native speakers
  • Collaborate with fellow educators for curriculum planning and student support
  • Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching methods for optimal growth
  • Maintain open communication with families to keep them involved in their childrens academic journey
  • Uphold a safe classroom environment where all students can participate and thrive
