Step into a meaningful role as a General Education Teacher supporting middle school students and shaping young minds. This full-time contract position provides the opportunity to work closely with students, staff, and families in a vibrant school setting near Chicago, Illinois. Hours run weekdays from 7:30 AM to 2:21 PM, allowing for rewarding work paired with work-life balance. This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 3, 2027, offering stability for dedicated educators.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois teaching licensure and certification, including a CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement
- Documented experience in a school-based setting
- Comprehensive understanding of general education curriculum, instructional strategies, and a commitment to student engagement and learning outcomes
- Skilled in classroom management and differentiation to support diverse learners
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons as part of a general education curriculum for middle school grades
- Creating a positive, productive classroom environment conducive to academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborating with fellow educators, support staff, and guardians to ensure student progress and well-being
- Evaluating student achievement and modifying instructional approaches as needed
- Participating in meetings, training, and professional development to enhance instructional skills
- Fulfilling required documentation and record-keeping
