Make a difference for diverse learners by supporting elementary and secondary students as a General Education and ESL Teacher on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity spans the academic year from August to May, working across two school sites with a manageable caseloadapproximately 15 elementary and 10 secondary studentsproviding focused, meaningful instruction.
This position calls for someone adept at fostering growth in bilingual and multilingual learners, with a passion for creating a welcoming classroom where every student thrives. Engage both English language development and general education content, working collaboratively with supportive school staff and leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid WY General Education License required
- Experience teaching elementary and/or secondary age groups
- Background in ESL instruction, with demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and scaffold learning for English language learners
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Comfortable utilizing technology for instruction and collaboration
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, responsive, and engaging classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver effective lesson plans for both general education and ESL students
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress, adjusting instruction to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with school teams, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Provide instruction at two school sites in alignment with district curriculum and standards
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and required training
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to district policies
