Inspire young learners by stepping into a 4th grade classroom for the upcoming academic year. This role centers on guiding students through a crucial stage in their education, teaching essential subjects, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The position is a contract opportunity running from August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a weekly schedule totaling 33.75 hours, all conducted onsite at a vibrant school community near Berwyn, IL.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Previous experience teaching elementary General Education, preferably in 4th grade
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, structured atmosphere
• Excellent communication skills for parent, student, and staff interaction
• Commitment to student growth, differentiated instruction, and inclusive educational practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction for a 4th grade class, delivering lessons in core subjects
• Develop lesson plans in alignment with district and state standards
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a respectful, engaged, and safe classroom culture
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and professional development
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
