An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced ESL Teacher with a passion for supporting diverse learners. This part-time position, located near Belleville, IL, runs from ASAP through June and is focused on providing targeted English language support to elementary students.
In this highly rewarding role, youll collaborate with school staff and parents while delivering engaging instruction to help students gain confidence and proficiency in English. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid ESL teaching license (required)
- Previous experience as a General Education or ESL Teacher within K-5 settings
- Skilled at differentiating instruction for English language learners
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working across elementary grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pull-out ESL sessions for a 5th grader (30 minutes daily, 5 days a week)
- Deliver group instruction for 1st and 2nd graders (30 minutes each, 3 days a week)
- Develop tailored lesson plans to meet individual and small group needs
- Track student progress and participate in collaborative meetings as needed
- Foster a supportive and culturally inclusive environment that encourages language development
