Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or closely related field
  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Experience conducting educational assessments for students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to special education
  • Ability to interpret and present evaluation results clearly to staff and parents
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Previous school-based experience is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized tests and other diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide recommendations for programs, interventions, and accommodations
  • Participate in eligibility determination meetings and present assessment findings
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on learning strategies and student support
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with all regulations
  • Communicate frequently with families to support student progress
