Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology, or related field
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Strong knowledge of eligibility criteria for special education services and federal/state regulations (IDEA)
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic data and developing actionable recommendations
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assessments and timelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete individualized evaluations including cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
- Analyze student data to determine appropriate eligibility for special education programs
- Prepare clear, detailed written reports and present findings to education teams and families
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) conferences, and student support discussions
- Provide consultative support and training to teachers regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with district and legal standards
