Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification and relevant state credentials
- Strong knowledge of special education regulations and processes
- Proficient in administering and interpreting standardized tests, cognitive, academic, and developmental assessments
- Experience developing, writing, and presenting comprehensive evaluation reports
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed educational and psychological assessments for students referred to special education
- Prepare and present clear, concise evaluation reports for Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret assessment results and determine eligibility for services
- Make recommendations to support individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student strengths and needs
- Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding instructional interventions and accommodations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all timelines and district/state protocols
