Step into a pivotal educational role supporting elementary students as a skilled Educational Diagnostician. This contract position offers a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with assignments spanning multiple campuses in a collaborative, itinerant model. Youll start August 12, 2026, and continue through May 27, 2027, contributing directly to the academic success and individualized support of young learners.
Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting educational evaluations and guiding ARDs, with the support of campus ARD specialists. We're seeking candidates who bring several years of experience in Texas public schools and are comfortable adapting to the needs of various elementary campuses.
Qualifications:
- Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (required)
- Demonstrated experience as an Educational Diagnostician, preferably in Texas public education settings
- Strong understanding of educational assessments, special education law, and the ARD process
- Willingness and ability to work in-person for the entire contract period
- Successful completion of district-required fingerprinting/background check
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for elementary-age students
- Collaborate with teachers, ARD specialists, administrators, and families to develop effective education and intervention plans
- Actively participate in and guide Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate evaluation records and documentation according to district protocols
- Adapt to a flexible itinerant schedule across assigned campuses as needs arise
