Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Masters degree in special education or related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience in administering and interpreting a broad range of educational and cognitive assessments
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and relevant state guidelines
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and identify students with learning differences through individualized assessments and observations
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and participate in eligibility determination meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, interventionists, and administrators to support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding special education processes, instructional accommodations, and effective interventions
- Support compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education eligibility and documentation
- Build positive relationships with students and families to foster student achievement and well-being
