Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Masters degree in special education or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in administering and interpreting a broad range of educational and cognitive assessments
  • Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and relevant state guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and identify students with learning differences through individualized assessments and observations
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports and participate in eligibility determination meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, interventionists, and administrators to support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding special education processes, instructional accommodations, and effective interventions
  • Support compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education eligibility and documentation
  • Build positive relationships with students and families to foster student achievement and well-being
