Desired Skills & Experience:
- Masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification for Washington State (or eligibility)
- Experience administering and interpreting educational and cognitive evaluations
- Comprehensive knowledge of special education law and evaluation procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of formal and informal assessments to determine student strengths and learning needs
- Interpret testing results and prepare clear, thorough evaluation reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing findings and collaborating on best practices and interventions
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for teachers and families regarding students educational programming
- Maintain accurate records, meeting all compliance requirements and deadlines
- Support educators in implementing accommodations, modifications, and targeted instruction
