Make a significant impact as an Educational Diagnostician, working full-time with a supportive middle school/intermediate population. This contract position runs from August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and is situated in the vicinity of Springtown and Bridgeport, TX. Youll collaborate closely with staff, students, and families, serving a caseload of approximately 90 students. Your expertise will help shape educational programs, ensuring each student receives the support they deserve.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
- Previous experience working within a school setting preferred
- In-depth knowledge of special education evaluation processes and compliance standards
- Ability to manage timelines, documentation, and multiple evaluations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for referred students
- Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student support strategies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all evaluations comply with state and federal regulations
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Support ongoing professional development for staff related to assessment and intervention strategies
