Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
- Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience in assessment and diagnostics within a school environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education eligibility
- Proficient in administering, scoring, and interpreting a variety of standardized academic and cognitive assessments
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with faculty, families, and related service providers
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed, compliant reports
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and recommend appropriate interventions
- Facilitate multidisciplinary meetings to discuss evaluation outcomes and eligibility decisions
- Provide guidance to teachers and staff regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to deadlines and legal requirements
