Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- In-depth knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and eligibility requirements
- Proficiency in conducting standardized assessments and interpreting results
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships with students, educators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and score comprehensive cognitive and academic assessments to determine special education eligibility
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, related service professionals, and parents throughout the evaluation and ARD/IEP processes
- Compile thorough, accurate diagnostic reports and recommendations
- Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings and serve as a resource on assessment data and educational planning
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for timelines and documentation
- Provide consultation, training, and support to staff regarding assessment tools and instructional accommodations
