Job Description

Step into a collaborative and supportive educational environment, providing crucial diagnostic services to students in a small, tight-knit district just east of Albuquerque. You'll work directly with a team of dedicated professionals, managing assessment and evaluation needs for students across two elementary schools and one middle schoolno pre-K responsibilities involved. The team values support and mentorship, with both per diem and intern diagnosticians on hand to assist, making for a truly team-oriented approach.

The district serves approximately 500 students receiving special education services, ensuring your efforts will significantly impact the academic and personal growth of many learners. Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Certification/licensure as an Educational Diagnostician (PED documentation required with application)
  • Experience completing educational evaluations and administering assessments in K-8 settings
  • Collaborative approach, comfortable sharing caseloads and resources among a diagnostic team
  • Knowledge of state compliance standards and familiarity with the PED process
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for family and team interactions
  • Ability to provide timely, comprehensive evaluation reports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for elementary and middle school students
  • Collaborate closely with SPED instructors, related services professionals, and families to interpret assessment results and guide educational planning
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with district and state policies
  • Support the diagnostic team and participate in ongoing professional development activities
