In this contract position, youll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver insightful educational assessments and tailored intervention plans that help every student reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, School Psychology, or a related field
- Current certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician (or eligibility in California)
- Demonstrated experience performing educational, cognitive, and behavioral assessments in school settings
- In-depth knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and related special education regulations
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive academic, cognitive, and behavioral assessments of students referred for evaluation
- Interpret data and collaborate with school teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and recommendations
- Prepare clear, thorough assessment reports and communicate findings with staff and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise to student support decisions
- Stay current on special education laws and best practices in educational diagnostics
- Provide consultative support and in-service training to educators and families
