Job Description

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or a related field
  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Demonstrated experience conducting educational assessments and evaluations
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate with school teams, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools
  • Interpret assessment data and write thorough diagnostic reports
  • Work with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Facilitate meetings and provide expert guidance on appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance
  • Stay current on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in special education assessment
  • Serve as a resource for school staff regarding eligibility, modifications, and instructional planning
