Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or a related field
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Demonstrated experience conducting educational assessments and evaluations
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate with school teams, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools
- Interpret assessment data and write thorough diagnostic reports
- Work with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Facilitate meetings and provide expert guidance on appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance
- Stay current on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in special education assessment
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding eligibility, modifications, and instructional planning
