Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or related licensure
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnosis, or a closely related field
- Experience performing educational assessments and interpreting psychoeducational evaluations
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and current special education regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to successfully manage multiple cases and deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and behavioral assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Interpret assessment results to determine eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, instructional interventions, and accommodations
- Prepare clear, thorough evaluation reports and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all legal guidelines
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings and serve as a resource on educational disability criteria
