Job Description

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or related licensure
  • Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnosis, or a closely related field
  • Experience performing educational assessments and interpreting psychoeducational evaluations
  • Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and current special education regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational skills to successfully manage multiple cases and deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct educational and behavioral assessments for students referred for evaluation
  • Interpret assessment results to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, instructional interventions, and accommodations
  • Prepare clear, thorough evaluation reports and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all legal guidelines
  • Participate in eligibility determination meetings and serve as a resource on educational disability criteria
