What Were Looking For:

  • Certification as an Educational Diagnostician (required)
  • Previous experience assessing and supporting middle or intermediate school students
  • In-depth knowledge of special education eligibility criteria and processes
  • Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and methodologies
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage caseload responsibilities efficiently
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and re-evaluations
  • Collect and interpret data to guide individualized education program (IEP) development
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design intervention strategies
  • Present assessment findings at ARD/IEP meetings and provide recommendations for services
  • Maintain all required documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
  • Assume responsibility for a caseload of approximately 90 students in middle/intermediate grades
  • Serve as an educational resource and advocate for students requiring specialized services
