Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility in California
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Familiarity with special education law, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration
- Detail-oriented and able to manage a varied caseload efficiently
- Comfort working with diverse student populations across K-12 settings
- Previous school-based experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized and non-standardized assessments to evaluate students cognitive and academic functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to gather relevant data and provide recommendations
- Prepare comprehensive reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, presenting assessment results and contributing to individualized education planning
- Provide consultation and support to educators regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by district and legal standards
