Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (TX Diag cert required)
- Experience conducting assessments and developing educational plans for elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of special education laws and procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, and behavioral evaluations for elementary students
- Develop and maintain documentation for individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate student placements and services
- Consult with teachers and staff, providing recommendations and support for instructional strategies
- Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring each has access to the resources they need to thrive
- Maintain up-to-date case files and comply with all state and federal requirements
