Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in education, special education, psychology, or related field
  • Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Demonstrated skills in administering and interpreting formal and informal educational assessments
  • Strong knowledge of special education processes, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities
  • Previous experience with school-aged children in a diagnosis or special education support capacity preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students academic strengths and challenges
  • Develop and interpret diagnostic reports and recommend appropriate interventions or accommodations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and allied professionals to design and implement support plans
  • Monitor students progress and adjust recommendations as needs evolve
  • Serve as an educational resource for staff, offering training or insights on assessment tools and special education best practices
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure all assessments meet ethical and legal standards
