In this rewarding position as an Educational Diagnostician, you'll play a key part in supporting students' unique learning needs, collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in education, special education, psychology, or related field
- Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
- Demonstrated skills in administering and interpreting formal and informal educational assessments
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities
- Previous experience with school-aged children in a diagnosis or special education support capacity preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students academic strengths and challenges
- Develop and interpret diagnostic reports and recommend appropriate interventions or accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and allied professionals to design and implement support plans
- Monitor students progress and adjust recommendations as needs evolve
- Serve as an educational resource for staff, offering training or insights on assessment tools and special education best practices
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all assessments meet ethical and legal standards
