Key Qualifications:
- Formal certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Familiarity with IDEA and special education eligibility guidelines
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and compliance procedures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills and attention to detail when managing caseloads and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and identify students' educational strengths and needs through standardized and informal assessments
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and help determine eligibility for special education services
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource and provide consultative support for staff and families regarding learning challenges and interventions
- Actively contribute to IEP meetings, offering recommendations for specially designed instruction and accommodations
- Maintain accurate, timely records, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices and educational trends
