As an Educational Diagnostician, youll play an essential role in assessing students unique learning needs and developing targeted intervention plans. Your assessments and recommendations will have a direct impact on students growth and success.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or related field
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in a school setting
- Strong understanding of state and federal special education regulations
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to interpret data and develop comprehensive, actionable reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments to students referred for evaluation
- Analyze test results and educational history to identify strengths and areas of need
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, sharing evaluation results and recommendations
- Collaborate with educators to design and implement appropriate instructional accommodations and strategies
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
- Consult with families and staff on assessment findings and instructional interventions
