Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or eligibility for state credentials
- Masters degree in Special Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting conducting academic and behavioral assessments
- Deep understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and RTI/MTSS processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with families, staff, and outside agencies
- Competency with standardized testing and diagnostic reporting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational and developmental assessments for referred students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special education services and design appropriate learning interventions
- Interpret evaluation results and deliver detailed, understandable reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, presenting findings and making data-driven recommendations
- Guide teachers and support staff in implementing accommodations and instructional strategies
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Serve as a resource on assessment tools and best practices for colleagues
- Support ongoing monitoring and review of student progress
