Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as an Educational Diagnostician working a full-time contract schedule in the greater Bridgeport area. This role offers the opportunity to support K-12 learners and collaborate with educational teams to promote student success. The position is based onsite for 32.5 hours per week and serves a diverse caseload, providing dynamic, rewarding work each day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification or the ability to obtain appropriate state credentials
  • Experience in assessment and identification of students with special education needs across K-12 grades
  • Familiarity with creating and interpreting individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Sensitivity to diverse student populations and demonstrated commitment to equitable educational practices

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students through standardized assessments, observations, and data analysis
  • Interpret results and develop educational recommendations tailored to individual learning differences
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families during eligibility and planning meetings
  • Support multi-disciplinary teams in developing and updating IEPs as needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and comply with legal requirements
