Job Description

A full-time Educational Diagnostician position is available at a K-12 school in New Orleans, LA, for the current school year contract through May 22, 2026. This opportunity involves working Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar. The role requires an active Louisiana Department of Education certification and completion of district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for K-12 students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Analyze evaluation data to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Provide recommendations to support student learning and development
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana DOE Educational Diagnostician certification is mandatory
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Familiarity with special education laws and assessment tools
  • Ability to manage caseloads and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
  • Readiness to begin work promptly, as the district prioritizes candidates with current certification and immediate availability
