Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Masters degree in Special Education or related field preferred
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in a school setting
- Familiarity with developing and interpreting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local special education regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students educational strengths and needs
- Utilize a variety of assessment tools and strategies to provide accurate diagnoses
- Compile, analyze, and interpret data to guide team decisions
- Develop clear, concise reports and participate in eligibility determination meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to design effective intervention strategies
- Provide guidance on IEP development and implementation to ensure compliance and student growth
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff, families, and support personnel regarding assessment processes and special education law
